If we cast our eyes back to yesterday, we had Abbott gloating over the ACT election.
it was not just wtte " a kick to the greens", but also wtte "a kick to labor" (the ALP increased their vote, but no matter, don't let facts get in the way of electoral rhetoric), also as that the "Liberals had really won the moral victory and therefore the greens should deal with Zed, baby" (curious, given his views on the Federal Labor/Greens alliance).
Thing is, according to the ABC's resident psephologist, Antony Green, the likely election outcome is 8-8-1, 8 seats to Labor, 8 seats to the Liberals, and 1 seat to the Greens.
So here is the question, given that this is not the first time he has shot his mouth off, and unsuccessfully try and pre-empt an election result, to disastrous results as far as he is concerned, and given how his rhetoric since the last federal election has come to naught ("the carbon tax" has died as an issue in the electorate). Not to mention his "issues" with anger management, and his inability to cope with powerful Women, is credibility starting to become a real issue for out Tone ?
Morgan came in with a lead to the ALP today with their poll. This is on top with net approval ratings well south of Mexico, as well as the the trend in all the other Polls slowly but inexorably moving back towards the Government. The LNP's polling figure is now less than it was at the last Election, they will not win on those figures, repeat, they will not win on those figures. Surly the "best Opposition Leader, EVAH !!!!, has been an abject failure ?
So, given that the numbers are probably being counted as I type, how long before the "Killing Season" catches up with our Tone ?
Which of the Lunatic Fringe (surely they wont risk civil war by going back to Talcum) Tea-Party will thrust the knife, Scoot MORRISon, Puff Adder, Bishop the Yonger, Cori ?
