It's the crackdown on pensioners speeding in their mobile scooters.

A spate of serious injuries has led to calls for uniform speed limits for motorised scooters and harsh penalties for breaking them.

But as nursing homes ban usage indoors and shopping centres review their policies, is it fair cop or a step too far?

I've seen a few geriatrics driving their scooters in the left hand lane of the road.
Not to mention the local chemist who makes use of a display scooter to ride from his shop to the local news agent.
