It is interesting, Labor seem to be back in the hunt. However, I expect the independents to be smited (err... smote...smitten ?) Hence, the LNP should win. 12 months or so to go... you never know what might happen. I feel that the LIBS may start to get nervous and there is a distinct possibility that Abbott will be replaced if the current trend continues.

The Vultures certainly are circulating. Michael Kroger hasn't helped either, if reports about the fallout from his Article slamming Ms Ramjam are correct.

Apparently there will be no Newspoll this week (probably due to the Public Holiday is NSW, QLD, and SA) So that will now be next week, IIRC. Meanwhile, according to poll bludger, blogs.crikey.com.au/pollbludger/2012/10/01/essential-research-53-47-to-coalition-4/?comment_page=8/#comments, Essential has released their latest polling. The Head-Line is 53-47 % to the Coalition, down from 45-55% in their last poll. Whilst Essential has been the most stubborn over the past few polls, staying doggedly at 45-55% for some polls, that it has now shifted, well within the MOE of the over polls, then its pretty definite that the Government is clawing back support from the Opposition. This is before all the fall-out from Jones-Gates and how that will wash through (considering Jones' strong Liberal Party links) the electorate. Given that the Opposition's main attack strategy, which has been framed over the "Carbon Tax" and that "Lie" have, to all intents, petered out, it's not that surprising that the Government is gaining lost ground. Particularly considering that the Government is, finally, receiving clean air; just as it gets to implement the meat of its policy structure, which just happens to be highly popular (according to essential polling). At the same time, its the Coalition's side that's now making the gaffes, just in time for the traditional "killing season" in Australian Politics.

After the Jones affair and Abbotts well known affiliation with the scumbag creep...dare say the polls will improve further in the near future.
